Meet the Owners, Matthew and Victoria Tong

Matthews interest in antiques started when he was bought his first pocket watch by his parents, Ray and Faine Tong, for his 18th Birthday. Matthews passion remains particularly, for late Victorian silver and gentleman items and he is very proud of his vast pocket watch collection! Another big influence has been his relationship with his uncle Wal, who started dealing antiques when he was a Pilot just after WWII, shipping glass from Italy and selling in the Birmingham market.

Matthew started his working career as a fruit and veg man in Oswestry he then went to work at the Theatre in Shrewsbury for 15 years and managed 3 museums in Shrewsbury.

You may have heard of his talent for singing, he has sang in front of large audiences, biggest being over 7000 people and has raised over £30,000 for charities in Shropshire over the years.

Vicky’s career started in Sales and Business Development. Vicky has been involved in successful startup businesses and Recruitment before joining her husband and Managing the weekly operations at the Auction House.

They have three daughters together who they hope will be involved in the family business.
